New to the Ranger World

I'm Jon from Greenwood Indiana I bought a 96 Ranger last week because my other truck's fuel mileage was killing me (1988 F-350 7.5 ltr 8 mpg) I bought that truck new in 88 when fuel was cheap. So far I'm getting 21.5mpg in the city I havn't got a good reading of the highway mileage yet. It's taking a while to get you to the lack of excelleration that the big truck has but U like the fuel mileage on the Ranger. I paid 1800 for the truck and so far I've put four new tires and a throttle postion sensor on it. The truck has 160,000 miles on it but I've read they can go up to 300,000 of cared for properly. So if all goes well I should be driving it for a few years.
