A little background: I have been on RPS for the past 10 years, so some of you might know me over there, but I figured I'd get involved on other sites as well. But when was 15 and just about to get my license. My grandpa had this old 88 Ranger that sat in there garage for most of it's life. Ended up getting said first gen ranger as my first car for $1000. 2.3l, 5-spd, reg cab long-bed, with only 64k miles. I fell in love with it and immediately started going at it with mods. When the 2.3 finally shot craps I decided to start swapping in a V8. Got it all stripped down for the rebuild and then some circumstances in life got in the way and ended up losing interest and selling the parts/truck. Few years later everything's coming together and I needed a ride. I found this nice little GT on auto-trader and it was love at first sight, had to have it. And so I made it happen :). It's similar to my old one being a black 88 reg cab, 5spd, long-bed. Only differences include the GT package, 2.9 instead of the 2.3, and the red interior instead of the blue. The truck has only 133k miles on it, straight body. Only minor rust spots and dings/scratches. My plans are basically everything I had done to my old one and then some. Generally just a clean, smooth looking truck. Hope you all enjoy and I look forward to sharing my experience with this truck here.
