New from SC

Hi, my name is Zak. I'm located in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I just bought a 1998 Ford Ranger Extended Cab with 162k. On the 3 hour drive home, it took a crap on me and spun a rod bearing. Its getting a re-manufactured motor swapped in when my dad gets time in august. but until then, I'm looking at lowering it.. its a 2wd, so I don't see a point in lifting it. I'm trying to lower it within a short budget, but the right way. I've looked at lowering blocks, and shackle flips, then getting lowered coil springs for the front. I'm not sure what the best way to do it is, and someone pointing me in the right direction would be gladly appreciated. I don't have any pictures of my truck at the moment, but I'll get some tomorrow if I get a chance.

Welcome to R/F

There's a lot of ways to lower on a budget, some of the lowered guys might chime in or just search around

thanks.

I've searched just about everything I can think of, and my head is spinning in circles trying to figure out which is best, and won't tear my wallet to shreds. lol. But, I'm sure there is something I'm missing..
