I just bought my 'uncle's' 97 Ranger XLT and am looking for info on custom touches and camping-related improvements. It's a bright red regular cab, stepside box, with the four cylinder and automatic. The original owner is a retired WW2 Paratrooper who bought the truck new in '97. It's been garage kept it's entire life, only once did he ever let anyone else drive it, and it currently has 27,603 miles on the odo. Only problems are the normal non-working gas gauge and the noisy power steering pump. I'm planning to drive this one to my own funeral. Slowly.
