New from Urbana Ohio
Ive posted once on here before a long while ago so i am re-introdicing myself.
1997 Ranger
4x4
4.0L
5spd
33x14.00 15 Boggers on 15x12 chromies
4" Skyjacker and 3" Body
3.73:1 Gears
Custom Front and Rear Floating Driveshafts
Mini Spool in rear end with Dana 65 in the front with a Full Locker
Warn Hubs
Custom Homemade Ladder Bars
Class 3 Hitch with all the wiring and 8" drop reciever
Custom Cab Lights
Steel Dual Cowl Hood
Custom Burgandy Paint (white originally but you can only tell in the bed from hauling wood and engines)
Absolutely no rust or rust/or dent repair of any kind
And thats about all that is worth mentioning other than some diamond plating here and there and a passenger side exhaust with a 2.5" turndown behind the rear tire (sounds nice for a v6) I have put allot of work into it and i get compliments everywhere i go.
This truck has never let me down. The only failure i have ever had was my clutch and brake pedal snapped off the firewall last week and i almost totaled it because ford thinks that cast alluminum should be used for everything (even pedal to firewall mounts) but other than that it has 155k on it now and has been good to me for a long time!
And yes i know. Everyone is going to scream and say you can't pull a 4,500lb boat and trailer with a ranger, but here we are... don't believe the 2,000lb max trailer weight for these trucks. I have hauled so much with this truck and i am amazed that it will do everything that a full sized truck can do. WAY more than an S-10 can ever dream of doing. Ive hauled everything from cars on 18' tandem axles, to boats, to full tire rubbing loads of wood. Havent met my match yet (within reason)

Trailer weight is 1,200lbs and the boat with the 351 and a full 25gal of gass is 4,400 GWwith the trailer. Had it weighed at steakers lol
We take the boat out to the CJ Brown Reservior for wakeboarding. Never fished out of it. And we've had it out at Indian Lake once but i didnt trust my truck to pull it there. Boat has a 351 i/o and was a turd in a field last year but thanks to a friend with some serious reupholstering skills and a garage to paint it in this is what it looks like now. It is like an 87ish supreme but dont quote me on the year.

And i thought about re-gearing the truck. 5th gear wont pull the boggers up hilly ground very well. 65mph is somewhere around 1,900-2000rpm's but i plan on selling the truck here soon. I need something bigger with more seating for the family so ive been looking at ext. and quad cab full sized trucks lately
