New from WI.. Zr2 to 4x4 Ranger

Hey guys my name is Tony.. little over 2 months ago my 01 pewter s10 Zr2 was totaled and flipped... and little over a month ago I finally got the truck paid and immediately went searching for a 4x4 for this up coming winter.. I found an excellent condition Ranger with little 73,5XX miles at a great price.. Bought it the next day.

2000 Ranger XLT 4.0 4x4 Black now little over 75k miles..

Future Mods:
-01 front end conversion... I have always loved the 01-02 style...
-Possible explorer ext. center console.. or another stock arm rest (this one broke off ) ...I don't know if I can put the ext explorer center console in without changing out the seats... I have seen several guys with the console but all of them had explorer seats aswell..
-Maybe a 3-4in lift and bigger tires either BFG A/T's or TrXus M/T's... nothing special I do minor-med offroading and only several times a year...

My old baby that I miss very much... I have 100s of photos lol

Welcome. If your truck has pulse vacuum hubs I suggest you change them to manual locking hubs avoid any problems.

welcome looks like you did lots of good stuff to the zr2 so the ranger will be nice once you get to work on it

where do you guys wheel down south? I lived in Minocqua for the summer and if we wanted to wheel somewhere legal the closest place we knew of was north around hurley or in the U.P.

The boys at Zr2usa would hang me by my nuts if I kept the Z plates lol... Just regular truck plates for this Ranger... But who knows if the modding bug bites I might have to get special plates... I for sure am going to get an 01-02 front end on this Ranger though...

I just went to Arbys and took this photo with my blackberry... uploaded to facebook so the quality kinda blows...

Down here in southern WI the only place you can wheel legally is on farm trails if you have connections... otherwise head on down to badlands or silver lake (I'm in Madison btw)

A police car heading to a domestic disturbance was going 35+ with lights/siren down that road.. I was exiting the highway and couldn't see him or hear him due to the bridge.. my light turned green and I went like everything was normal and when I was in the middle of the intersection all the sudden I heard sirens coming... look to my left and a police cruiser was like 10 yards away from me that I Knew was going to hit me hard.. The rest is history..
He should have yielded especially since he saw his light just turn red... oh well "It" happens

Yeah, that intersection is kinda screwy. Between that one and 15 & 30, I'm supprised there aren't more accidents.

and I agree with you guys the arm rest on the center console was a poor design.. I'll probably just get another 00 Ranger armrest and end up fabbing something to the bottom that holds the forward section level with the back section...

and Grizz wow not too far away lol... Cool to see another Madtown person here..
