Welcome to RF!

Has any of the rust eaten through the frame? If it is just surface rust, you cant take care of that.

If you have the time and effort, look up a product calle POR-15.

Also, a 3" BL isnt too difficult to install. You might want a partner and MAPP Gas.

Welcome to R-F!!

Try taking a pressure washer to the rush spots to take off anything that's flaking and then a grinder with a brush wheel on it. If you don't hit clean metal quickly then you may want to be concerned.

I did my 3 inch body lift on my own in 9 hours. Thought it was fairly easy. You just want a good tall jack and you will be set.
