Just wanted to say hi and to say WOW!! what a site! I have owned 2 Rangers. The 1st one I bought brand spankin' new from Ford back in 1987. It was a 4x4 long bed, STX trim, standard cab with the 2.9 (oil leaker!) and 5 spd tranny. I drove the truck every day up until 2003. The '87 had 275K on the clock and still running on the original, never rebuilt engine. I sold the '87 back in 2003. 3 months later I found a 1996 4X4 king cab Ranger STX with 90K miles in a used car lot in the mountains of NC. After a test drive, I fell in love with it. This one has the 4.0L V6 and auto tranny. I went back up to the mountains the next day and bought it. I have put over 60K mile on it since then and its still going strong. I has a few problems with it right now but I will post that in another thread.

I go to Mooresville all the time to the drag strip. I have a 1969 F100 Ranger swb with a 450hp 351W that I race there quite a bit. Mostly on Thursday test-n-tunes.

what part of mooresville you live in?

 

My best 1/8th mile time is 8.55 sec @ 85.25 MPH. Most of the time it runs 8.80's @ 83mph
