Hey everyone, Im Eddie. Im 28 and I live in Lewiston ID. I recently bought an 87 XLT ex-cab. Buying it brought back hundreds of memories of my first ranger. It was an 84' XLT long box with a dealer installed 2" lift. It was a 2bbl 2.8L V-6, 5-spd. I used to cell her "Lil Blue" cause it was of course, blue. LB was a hand me down truck, my uncel was the first owner, then my dad and finnaly me. By the time LB came to me she was rollin over 285,000 miles, and suprisingly still ran like achamp but was getting a bit tired. I drove her to 300k and then yanked the motor. Put in a brand new engine, replaced the stock 215's with some BF Goodrich 30-9.50 Radial A/T's, tint, stereo, exhaust, it was like brand new again. I had been driveing her again for only 2 or 3 weeks when I rolled LB into a ditch going to fast down an unfamiliar dirt road late at night. Lucky for me neither my freind nor myself were hurt. But LB was DOA. Tweeked the frame bad, crushed the passenger side of the cab almost to the seat. Sadly I sold LB for parts, a measly $500.00. A major blow after the 3 grand I had just invested.
Oh well, I refused to buy another one for 11 year's now. LB holds a special place in my heart, hell I learned to drive in that truck. Well When I saw this 87, I had to have it. Especially at the price the old guy selling it wanted. Been driving it for a few weeks now and I love it. Ive got a lot of plans for the future. Ill be keeping pics updated. thanks for reading.

Ya, I was blown away. And when the guy told me he was the second owner and the 71k that the odomiter said was original and it had not been rolled over yet. I couldnt pass it up. I was scrambleing to get the money. You just dont find a 4X4 ranger that straight with such low miles for so little, or any 4X4 really. $750.00 is a steal! I love buying cars and trucks from elderly people lol, no offense ment to anyone
