power windows

Hi I am new to this site, I have a 2003 ranger xlt with sport side bed, my issue is my drivers side indow has a mind of its own, it works most of the time, but when I need it the most it hangs me out to dry. I can come back a few hours later and it works again, or wait a day and it will work, any clues would be nice, thanks

If its getting stuck in the up position, next time it gets stuck, press and hold the down button while slamming the door shut. If it starts working, you may have a mechanically stuck motor. You may just need to replace the motor.

I tried that , it didnt work. Its not getting stuck , it just quits working. The relay under the dash is good, I think it might be the door switch

Welcome

Take the door panel off and check all of the connections.

Clean them if needed and add a little of the dielectric grease, a little remember.

Luck...
