A Proud Ranger Owner Again.
I just got myself a new '09 Ranger XL two weeks ago.
I brought my very first Ranger XLT in '93, and I was the first person to buy the new style from the dealer. I LOVED that truck to death, and was glad to get rid of my '87 Chevy S-10 that i only kept for 2 years since it was a pure lemmon!
I was pleased with how quiet that 4 cylinder duel plugs was in the Ranger. I kept that for 4 years, and I needed the room to haul friends to places, so I got an Explorer. I traded my Explorer in '98 for my Dodge Stratus.
Missing the Ranger even more when we brought our first house 4 years ago, and kept saying I'm getting another Ranger! But we had other things that had to get done on the house, and this year i was ready!
I kept an eye out on a used Ranger, but was not finding what I was looking for in price and mileage wise.
So, I broke down and brought a new one insted.

It's pretty basic. I may dress it up some what down the road.. I am thinking of adding fog lights (Looks like I can do it with no issues), bug shield, and debating on bed cover.

Only thing I've noticed with my 2.3 is the RPM likes to stay some what high on the high side.
For an example, when I change gears, the RPM kinda stays in place of it was in untill I let go of my clutch, then the RPM drops.
Well, I "broke" in my Ranger today! Hauled 30 bags of mulch on the first trip, and 20 bags on the second trip.
I was a smiling while I was pulling away from Home Depot with the load, and thinking I am loving the truck!
