rewired by a knucklehead
So I bought this real nice 1992 Ranger STX with 36k miles and a body and interior that look new. I went to pick it up and paid the guy and he said he was doing a final tune up and that the engine area had a small fire. He said that he had called a "master electrician" to fix it and it would be done by the next day. After 3 weeks of waiting i had it towed to a shop that got it running but they said there were things not hooked up. i went to get it smogged and it just barley failed. So now I am looking it over and i see several possible reasons why a car with 36000 miles failed a Nevada smog ck.
What I need help with is to have someone look at the picture and tell me what seems to be missing. there is a plug that i found unplugged and tracking down one of the wires i think it goes to the throttle pos sensor. another couple of wires are hanging from intake air temp sensor. without both of those not working passing smog may not happen. There also seems to be something missing from where the throttle is connected to the intake. No idea what that was. If anyone has any pics of a 1992 3.0 please send me some pics. There are more things unpluged but right now i just need it to run correctly to get the da@# smog done. Thank you Mark W.
