Hi I recently bought a 1997 4.0 manual. 240,000 miles, no body rot, just surface rust on the undercarriage. Seller said it runs rough but smooth out when it warms up and sure enough it did. But when I got it home I discovered it was down 4 quarts of oil. It ran weak and bogged out from a stop, so I brought it to my Ford-certified mechanic buddy. Now it spins the tires if I don’t feather the throttle. Love this thing!

My plan is to build it into a beater muscle truck for weekend work and logging trail exploration. If I can figure out how to upload pics I will.
