Hello !! I am Madeleine, new member to this forum although I’ve sourced info from here quite a bit. I thought it was time to join as I am in a new spot with my Ranger and more or less deciding to be in it for the long haul.
I fell in love with the Ford Ranger when I was working at the Philadelphia Energy Solutions oil refinery. I had a ‘99 that was my truck to drive around. I just had to own one. That was 2012.. I finally had an opportunity to get a Ranger when my civic was totaled by this lady clipping my side panel by pulling out into traffic on Stenton ave. I bought my truck in 2016, maybe rushed it cuz I loved her. 157,000 miles on her, garage kept and the only thing ever done was the oil was changed every 3000 miles. I’ve since had to do many many things, but she’s also done a lot for me - including carrying my son around. She’s moved me twice, hauled everything imaginable, and is just a straight up beast. I sincerely love my Ranger.
Recently the timing chain struggles have appeared, we’re at 208k miles. And she is in a resting state for now. I’m getting help from an old pal with removing the engine and going forward with the rebuild. I want to fix her up now in every way possible and keep her for the long haul. Thought it would be a good time to join this community as I’m sure I’ll have questions along the way. My son and Rosa Ranger
