I'm a new member here for about a month now. Have to say there is a lot of good info on rangers on this site. Well, I bought a 1996 ranger stepside xlt,2.3 4 cylinder 5 speed,4x2, for about 2000 dollars. It has just about 89000 miles on it. The bed is in good condition and the body is sound as well. The only problem is that from sitting the frame by the rear shackles is rotted out. I just discovered this while having it inspected. Here's the deal should I part it out and try to recoup my losses (essentially starting over) or find a frame and rebuild?

depends how much money u wanna put in it. and how long u plan on keepin it. i would say find a frame to cut up and replace urs w.
