They call me Halfalive

Halfalive... its a long story. But I'm not here to talk about me, I'm here to talk about my Ranger. It's a 2005 2 wheel drive XLT extra cab 3.0 with a manual transmission. I bought it brand new just weeks after this 18 year old girl was driving while applying eye liner and failed to see traffic stopped and totaled my Toyota pickup truck. But that's a whole different story for a different forum. My truck is silver and I equipped it with a matching camper shell and lumber racks. I am a carpenter/master builder. Because I carry tools and materials all the time I had Firestone Air Ride air bags installed with a small compressor under the hood for adjustments on the fly. I had a K and N intake system installed. After a camping trip out to the Mojave caused a leaf spring to snap I had custom leaf springs (rated at 1750lbs) installed. I built a bed tool box which runs the full length of my truck's bed which has 3 drawers to carry all small tools, nail guns, battery tools ect. I have a small 3 gallon compressor which is anchored on the passenger side at the front of the bed. I carry and assortment of power tools depending on the project that I am working on. But my #1 tool is my truck. Without it I cant make any money. My truck is now 17 years old but I refer to it as a new truck ..... mostly because it has a new motor, new transmission and clutch, new front rotors and brakes, new tires, new radiator and evaporator, new battery (0ptma.... badass!) new alternator, new sheepskin seat covers, new fuel pump. my wife got for me LED headlights for better night vision ( they say the eyes are the first to go ) and I have installed LED off road lights under the front bumper in that space on either side of the front license plate. Most of the new stuff was within the last 3 years. I have only put 265,000 miles on her. When I get on a job I have shades that I can easily deploy all the way around all the windows so then my Ranger becomes my mobile office and I can have privacy to conduct business (or take a nap) without any distractions or disturbances. This truck fits me like a glove.
