transmission question

i have a 93 3.0 5spd 4x4 ranger and also a 2wd of same vintage. can i use the 2wd trans in the 4x4 will the transfer case mount to the 2wd? what would i have to change? thanks

the bell housing and the shaft or whatever it is in the tranny is different from 2wd and 4wd,so the answer is no
