Yoooo. New to Rangerz.

Hey there RF. Name's Oscar Whitfield. I'm from New Haven, Connecticut. Currently living in Miami, Florida. I'm going to skool to become an Automotive Service Technician. I hold a passion for the import tuning scene and used to own a lightly modded 1992 Honda Prelude Si, which isnt exactly a COMMON car on the scene. Due to extremely difficult times I had to sell my prelude, not only for less than what I bought it for, but for MUCH less than I really could have sold it for.. Anyways I'm looking for a job rite now and im gonna save some money with which i could easily buy a civic or some other little import. Instead due to my growing passion for domestics (muscle kars mostly) I wanted to choose a vehicle thats reliable, looks good, and will be easy to find cheap. I also wanted a vehicle that has a model that comes 5spd. Since a Camaro or Mustang of any generation iz seriously out of the question, I had to broaden my search. Coincidently, both my skool and my friend's father (whos practically like my dad since im living with them) have Ford Rangers. My friends dads Ranger is Automatic but its still a damn good looking truck lol, I love the look of the Ranger. The Red 99' 4x4 Sport Ranger that my skool haz however is a 5 speed manual and after replacing the clutch and doing some minor maintenance work on the tranny after it would not go into gear (Im in the Manual Transmissions course at skool). That transmission was like butter and while test driving that Ranger, you could say I fell in love. So thats basically my deal rite now. Lookin for a job and saving for a Ranger.. Peace!!! p.s. I wanna mod my ranger lol so if anyone reads my intro, let me know whats up if youve modded yours.

Well quite a post. Welcome to R/F

There's a ton of mods that you can do.

Just browse the site and you'll find a ton of ideas, and maybe come up with an original.

Just so you know, once you start modding, its hard to stop

slowmasters are still restrictive. even on a slow platform like ours. but yes they sound great. i'd say go towards magnaflow as far as mufflers go.. i've got 2.5" piping and a striaght through magnaflow dumped before the axle and it sounds great.

and welcome! pics of the truck?
