Ok, so I was wondering if it is possible to convert my '01 fog light switch to the ones used in the new '10. You know, pull out on the light switch to activate fogs. I will never know why Ford put the fog switch on the radio bezel... Any help appreciated.

 

I like the fact you can turn on the fogs without the headlights. thats the way it should be when driving in heavy fog at night - headlights off, fogs on.

 

You can do that with the 06+ pull "on" fog lights. You just have to have the parking lights on. I drive all the time at dusk with just my fogs and markers on.

I would think getting a 06+ headlight switch and extending the fog switch wires to it. You might need the plug end and rewire the entire switch if the plugs are different from the 01 to 06+. You will also need to figure out the pin out on the 06+ switch to hook up the fogs.

 

i would go to a JY, and just start ripping parts out, both vehicles... see what the back of em look like the one you are looking for, i think started in 06, my 07 has it for sure

 

i think you might have to change the plastic peice around the gauges and all because my 07 (is like the one u want) is bigger and kinda resest into it while my 2000 ranger its just a **** and its sits on the plastic
