Any ideas which direction i should go to improve fuel economy and maybe add a few hp? should i get the full intake kit or just get a drop-in filter? Also is K&N better than Volant?

pull the intake silencer on your stock box keep paper filter and run it. nothings going to add hp or mpg.

 

Just put the K&N CAI on my 4.0. Sounds good, but I haven't had it on there long enough to give you any real idea of mileage change. Truck's feels strong, but that's not a very objective measure of performance. I'll update after I run through a few tanks.
