ok i cant thing of what you call them but you know them lights on top of the diesels. the little orange lights on top of the cab. yeah you know well anyways. ....... anyone ever seen them put on a ranger? thought maybe it would look kinda cool and unique for a small truck. got any pictures if you do know of one? or would you put them on your lifted ranger? what you think?

Cab lights are cool, but I prefer a visor with the lights recessed in them (much like the one on my truck).

FYI, installing them requires drilling holes in your cab. If you don't want to screw it up, spend the money to have somebody do it. I kick myself every day for installing my visor myself. It'll get fixed someday, though.

AKA clearance lights
you know, I had the same thought. I have only found one pic of a ranger with them... (his are clear)

I bought some and they are sitting on my desk... I've had them for like a year and never got around to the install... but this is what they look like.

Some people bash saying they don't belong on a 'little' truck, but I think they are really cool.

i have actually seen them on a ranger. i friend of a friend came up to play in the mtns with us and his was a lifted dark red ranger. they were the amber ones and actually looked really good.i have always thought about putting them on the truck myself but can never bring myself to do it.

I had those oval shaped clearance lights on our farm truck. I wouldn't install those particular ones again. The thin foam gasket melts from the bulb being on and creates a mess. Mine were made by optronics.

That is good to know, these are the optronics ones. Did you have any other problems? like If I made new gaskets for them would it then be ok?

I saw a Dakota with the non-lighted visor but added lighting to it. Pretty swell. Can you take a pic of the just the lamps you used? I gave my non-lighted one to a friend, and he wants to make it lighted.

Hey Mr. Thread Digger,

Dome lights are on the inside of your truck on the headliner. These are cab clearance lights or just cab lights.
