Icon14 Anyone sleep in the bed of their truck?

I have a Raider truck cap and a blow up air mattress with pillows and blankets for when I get too drunk

I'm flying out there now.

I don't have a tent so whenever I go camping I throw 2 thick bed covers down and sleep in it. If I close the tailgate I have to sleep at an angle because I don't fit.

slept in the bed once. went to a party over the winter and didnt really feel like driving home so i always keep a big wool blanket behind my seat so i got it and curled up in the bed and in the middle of the damn night it started to snow. woke up with a few inches on me and freezing to death. worst night ever.

... to answer your question, no I haven't I planned to when I got the cap, but it didn't work out when I put the toolbox back there. I have napped a few times in the front seat though.

If I had a cap I'd do it all the time!

But, I've done it a few times, nice twin size air mattress, pillows, and blankets and I'm set to go! It was pretty nice.

BTW, I'll be looking out for a yellow ranger with a girl tanning in the bed hahahahah

I do whenever I'm out fishing or hunting overnight. I put up a cot back there, throw a sleeping back on top and I'm set. It helps only being 5' 6" and my cot is 6' or an inch shorter. It fits perfectly length wise in my bed.

actually i have slept inthe back of my bed because my buddy forgot the tent and only one of us would fit in the cab of my truck because my seats don't recline. we flipped for it and he one so i slept next to the dirt bike all night.

Nope. I've slept in the drivers seat many times (not while driving). Never in the bed though. Cloth reclining seat = more comfortable then hard plastic.

I have done a few camping trips in the back of my truck thankfully it was all planed. Enough blankets for padding and i also have a shell so that helps. Bad part is im 6'4 so kinda gotta sleep corner to corner but yeah worked out pretty good.

i've slept in the bed a few times while at the track for the day, or when camping and it was too nice out to go in the camper during the day. But i used to sleep in the front seat before class, and now i do on my lunch break. Can't wait for warmer weather so i can sleep in the bed a bit more comfortably during lunch
