AWW SCREW IT!!!

Haha..Well I have been pondering all the mods I want to do to my truck. and after thinking real hard. I think I am just gonna get a new truck. The way I figure:
I have an 04 XL Reg Cab. 5spd 2.3 when considering all I want to do to it:
Intake $200
Exhaust $200+
Any Power Gains $(tuner)450+
Bucket Seats $100-300
Console $20-100
Stero system$ 200-500
Carpet $150
06+ Mirrors $180
06+ Tails $180
Emblems Done
Grille $80-150
Wheels Tires $1000
Lift or Lower $100-2000
Power window
Power Lock
Plus Tons of small things.
In the end its still a reg cab(Need Bigger)Priceless

Along with fixing the current problems:
Messed Up Bumper Front and Back $200 front $500 back(fender damage)
Fixing air bags(Bought them just not in) $My Mech will put them in for $40
Ball joint squeaks $200 in parts god know how much labor
Miss aligned frame and Bed: May be unfixable could have frame damage.

Cost: about $4k Ill never get back

I think I come out better in the Long run to get a better truck:
Something Like: 09 Ranger Sport 4.0 ExCab With Buckets Machined wheels. (Will do carpet on my own) Along with a few options.

I am an Xplan Participant so I get a Little discount. (does any one know if Xplan can be combined with rebates?)

What do you guys think?

Yep I'm pretty sure you get all rebates then the x-plan "deduct". They actually have to show you the factory invoice that has it all listed right on it.

Sounds like you'll be better off with a new truck, then do all those mods listed above to the new one.

If you need the bigger cab, then get new truck.

If you dont need the bigger cab, fix up your current truck, and enjoy it.

I got 2 10" subs in boxes in my truck Wife still has leg room no problem

680 wont get you those % rates especially now. You would need probbaly like a 800 or so

You maybe able to get them if you had a big down payment to go with them

Here are my boxes

If it needs work and you think the frame is mangled, then I'd say get a new truck.

if all that stuff id repairable and there's nothing else wrong with it, I'd keep it and fix it up the way you want it and not have to worry about a new truck with payments.

How do you have credit if you're only 17? You can't sign a contract untill your 18. I'm confused.

Well the frame is ok(i think) the bed i think is torqued. Last time I took the bumper off the front I could tell it had been wrecked once upon a time.

Get on a banks website click apply, enter social and mailing address....wait for card...use card. earn credit.

But I turn 18 in nov. This may not happen until then. I will need my mom as a co-signer.

How much is left owing on your truck? I'd maybe keep it til it's paid off atleast, then look into another truck to replace it.

Huh? It would be using the same seats you have now. New buckets normally run 200-300 a peice.
