Tires/Wheels for an '04

I have found some nice wheels and tires on Tirerack.com and according to the website they will fit my truck. I assume that means without a lift?
Also I wanted to know what everyone thought of them... My Ranger is an '04 Bright Red

Those are sweet rims. And those tires will fit with no lift if they are the 245/75/16 I read.

You can squeeze up to 33s on there without a lift.

Thanks, I was lucky finding those beauties. Will any bigger tires fit on those rims? Also what does each number in 245/75/16 mean?

You can easily fit 265/75/16 you go could go larger if you wanted. 245/75/16 is metric this converts it to standard for you.

245 is the tire width in millimeters. 75 is the sidewall height in millimeters and 16 is the diamater in inches.

If you go down to a 15x8 rim, which will fit, you can put on 31x10.5x15, 32x10.5x15 or 33x10.5x15 and if you go up to a 15x10 rim, you can fit a 12.5" wide tire.

Those 245/75/16's overall diameter is slightly under 31" It's like running a 30x8x16 tire if that makes more sense.

Thanks outdoorsman. I needed that, I am just getting into cars/trucks now. Loved them always just never really learned anything about them. How is the Gibson exhaust on your truck? And which exhaust system do you have?

well yeah, you can, but kinda defeats the purpose of running a wide tire on a narrow rim because you don't get the 12" wide footprint.

I run 10.5" wide tires on an 8" rim and I just went out and measured the width of my tire on the rim and it's just a tad over 9.5" wide.

Could everyone post some links to big tires (bigger than the ones I posted) that will fit the Ultra Baha Champ 16x8. Preferably AT or something more aggressive.
I am currently searching Discount Tire by size.

I love my exhaust. It's not annoying loud. To me it's just right. When I get on the gas it sounds nice. Driving aorund town and on the highway it's nice with a little rumble. Nothing obnoxious. I've also heard the Magnaflows are somewhat similair and have a nice sound to them.

Here is my exhaust. Listen to the beginning and end. It wasn't ment to be an exhaust vid but it works. This is at idle.

That would fit the rim but not the truck. You would need a body lift or a suspension lift to run that.

Wow that sounds perfect. You've convinced me, Gibson sounds great and isn't expensive at all. Thanks. I might get the Dual Exhaust just because of the price and look.

I'd say the largest you would want to run would be 285/75/16. You would probably need to crank your torsion bars. It would be close but you could run them. If you wheel a lot I'd recommend a lift eventually or run a smaller tire. You need room for your tires to flex.

What are the biggest tires I can run with that, with the rim, and without a lift?

It is a fairly quiet exhaust. I think there might be a few other clips of other exhausts. If you like loud Gibson isn't the way to go. It has a great tune but it's not super loud. It doesn't set off car alarms nor annoy the neighbors. Flowmaster is pretty good at that if that is what you like.

285/75/16 or if you don't like the sounds of that (above) you could run 275/70/16 or 265/75/16. Those last two will fit without any problem. The 275 is a tad shorter but wider. Whatever your style is. BFG makes both of those in the All Terrain. The 275/70/16 is kind of an odd size but they make it. If you look at other brands they might not have that size.

275/70/16 = 31.2x10.8/16

265/75/16 = 31.6x10.4/16
