Bigger tires without the lift?

I am thinking about the future of my truck. One day when I have some more cash lying around I would like to put some bigger tires on my truck. I understand there is a sticky about what will fit, so don't bother telling me. I would like to see some pictures of some rangers with bigger tires and no lift or a slight T-bar crank. I am interested in a more aggressive looking tire. Feel free to post. I have an 03 fx4 and am not too keen on the onion skin tires I have on the truck right now. Let's seem em'

Those look great. I am a huge fan of the dick cepek wheels.

Keep the pictures coming.

Well Jerome,

I ditched the stock 255/70/16's (overall diameter 30.9") and went to a 15" rim with a 31x10.5x15 tire (31" overall diameter obviously)

I have no lift, and just cranked the torsions to make the truck sit level (2 full turns on each side).

Tires I have are Cooper Discoverer STT's. Absolutely amazing. You'll be able to fit 32's and 33's will be tight. Do a 2.5" shackle, which is like $60 and throw that in and you got an easy lift.

Here's mine, stock with 31s. They are barely any bigger than stock, but look much more aggressive. Oh,btw, my rims are a 4" backspace.

Since those pics were taken, I have removed my mudflaps because 2 were broken. Without them on,these tires throw up all the slush and road crap and it just cakes the rockers, sides of the doors and fills up the gap between the bed and bumper under the tail light.

You love my truck? Thanks, I appreciate it. Don't get it often. I like yours, the "smoked out look".

And if I ever decide to sell my Westin Bar, I'll let ya know first. Notice the little ding on the top right of the silver section tho.

END thread hack. lol.

I have 265/75/16's on my stock rims. That's like a 31" tire IIRC.

Liberator A/T's but that doesnt make a difference on what will fit.

Compare them to my onion skins.... They are far more aggressive.

they might be onion skins to the eye, but they have traction more like banana peels.

I have ATs and I don't consider them aggressive. Are you looking for a all terrain tire or a mud terrain? You have to be more specific with what you want.

Considering he lives waaaaay up north near santa claus, he is going to want some pretty aggressive tires like mine. They are AWFUL on ice, but fantastic in the snow, and are great on dry roads too.

You will be at a bit of a gas milage loss if you go with some heavy rims like my Cragars, so to keep things a little lighter, try and find some decent 15x8 alloys to keep your rotational mass down.

33X12.50 MTZs, no T-bar crank when the picture was taken. I drove it like this for a long time with minor rubbing under abusive off roading. After the T-bar crank no problems at all. You should have #1 T-bars like I do so after you crank them you should be fine.

That looks sweet. I just love the look of a big wheel filling up the fenders like that.

Well obviously what you consider aggressive and what I consider aggressive differ. I consider an all terrain to be more aggressive than my tires right now. No disrespect but I don't know why you posted on my thread if you had nothing to show but your opinion.

Regardless let's keep the pictures coming people. I don't care if they are BFG AT or MT's or Mickey thomspons. Whatever you got without a lift please post a picture. Thanks. 03 Army Ranger, I dig your tires. They look great. I am assuming that #1 t-bars are what come with FX4 model rangers?? Sorry I am pretty new to this.
