Blacked Out Tail-Lights

Ok, I was bored a few weekends ago and was just looking all over the internet trying to find some cheap parts from my truck when the idea of blacking out my tail-lights came to mind. I did one of those searches on google about it, found some forum for Dodge Magnums where people were arguing on how it wasn't safe to do it, then decided to do it myself. before i say anything else ill show you guys the pictures. Sorry about the poor quality but it can't always be pretty in Georgia.

Notice the reflective properties in the lense are still in tact (and that's not just because of the glare, they actually still work when headlights are shined on them). I also have my third brake light done the same way. they all still light up just as bright as they used to, but when the lights are on, the red is only visible at night. i think it worked out pretty well and was a hell of a lot cheaper than buying aftermarket tail lights. Tell me what you think.

I also tinted my tails a few months ago...im very happy wit the results. Now that its getting warmer Ill be able to wet sand them nicely to bring out the shine. I still have to tint the 3rd brake light...when I get some free time

I tinted my third brake light as well, but only added one coat of clear because i didn't have time to fool with it anymore. the only thing I used was black gloss spray paint and a can of clear...
