Regarding any sort of motor swap, wouldn't it be much cheaper, and less work to just sell, and buy a ranger with the 4.0 already installed. Even then, what are the gains in power? Only a loss in fuel economy as my 4.0 isn't any monster compared to a 3.0, or anything for that matter.

Edit: yes it would be much cheaper to buy a ranger, many are available, with a 4.0. Swapping seems alright if you have a truck you love.... but not if you want more MOrPAwR hahhahah
