Color match your hitch..

Color match your hitch..

Well, I got sick of looking at the dirty black hitch hanging down all the time, So I picked up a can of DupliColor and some clear coat. Sanded, sprayed a few coats of paint and clear and through it back on the truck. Looks much better I think. Worth the $15...







P.S. I know I didn't black out my plate number, so don't tell me I should have...

I guess a black truck would kind of delete the purpose, but I would still paint it black, I know the stock stuff on my hitch was really dingy, sloppy looking stuff.. A nice glossy black paint job would look good..

looks really good. i'd do it too, but, my truck is black too. although it probably would look better like you mentioned.

Linex the ones on a black truck. I know hidden hitch offers colored hitches. I would do mine but my truck is white and I think it would look a lil funny since I have that huge factory hitch. The tube style hitch like you have looks really good painted.

ya looks good but one of the company's you can acully order it color matched BUT that was a smart idea for yours good work

Really? They are probably powdercoated which would be the super bling way to go. When I went to take it off to paint it, I noticed one of the 4 bolts was GONE and another had NO NUT on it... Lucky for me, or the boat may have passed me on the highway.

ya its powder coated i beleave.

and yes its always good to check the hitch mounts out regularly to make sure everything is ok. that also another reason why i used Jam nuts on my hitch bolts and used grade 10 bolts. i wouldnt have any worries
