Colormatched Ranger Emblems

I got to thinking how colormatched 'Ranger' Emblems (on the fenders) might look, instead of chrome. Sort of the monochromatic look. Anyone ever done this? Or thought about but decided no? Pics?

Would look good on the '06 emblems.....Just paint the black part to match the color of your truck!

If I were to start over I'd have had them sprayed red with automotive paint instead of using duplicolor, and I wouldn't have bothered with the black outline because its mostly faded off. I may just modify a set of 06 badges instead of starting over, though.

How about taking some acetone or something and taking off the black outline then color match the letters. You would have the matching color outlined w/chrome.

It would be hard. Paint doesn't adhere well to chrome, its even worse if you try to mask it. The clearcoat (I used Duplicolor) is wearing off, and they're starting to look pretty ragged, so I think eventually I'll switch off to a modified 06 badge.
