What is your goal with the truck? Do you like to offroad or cruise the street? What kind of shape is the truck in already? Need something to work with.

I like going offroad, but i have a 2wd and the body lift kits are way to much and a pain to put in.
The truck is basically stock.

There not that much of a pain. Here is my 2wd with 3" spindles and some 1" lift coils. 33x12.5x15 Cooper STT's, 15x10 cragers.

If you think lifting it will be a PITA, lowering will be just as bad... and if you go too low, even oil changes will be a pain... Having to jack it up, take the drain plug out, drop it down so its level when it drains... Jack it back up to change the filter and put the drain plug back in...

I like the look of lowered rangers better, but you got to think about everything.

(just had to change the oil on my car the other day and it made me miss my ranger more... oil changes were so quick on that thing)

Just dump it on the ground. I loved lowered rangers. Want to take it offroad go buy a cheap 4x4. if you wanted offroad you would have bought a 4wd right? either way will be fun. if you wanna smash around in the dirt then lift it. if you wanna smash around on the streets then dump it. I would say if its really beat up lift it. lol My vote is slam it personally. Since yours is really clean. Went on your profile and checked it out. nice looking truck btw.

funny but true…

Raise it !

IMHO… 2wd Rangers with a locker/tires/gearing can go a long way on the trail and I think they look good jacked/tires/rims/custom touches.

See what I mean…

No! No! No!
Pls, drop it if if you must but not this !

This will require a lot of body work or new side panel for the bed and new frt fenders.
Maybe more expensive than a BL and T-Bar crank.
