daisy is gonna be a trail head.

as some of you may know my truck (daisy) was hit by a deer a week or so ago and insurance toltalled the poor thing but i decided to keep her. it'd be way to hard to sell her all banged up. and plus i cant get rid of my first truck. so this is what im thinking on doing over the next 6 months:

4" rough country suspension lift,
somehow put a straight axel (dont ask ima figure it out),
33" discovery m/t,
roll cage,
get the kit to make my doors easier to detach,
new manual tranny,
differncials(i cant spell),
transfer case.

so imagine this:

with that^^^

open for suggestions pretty much making a trail head!
im too excited.

if your gonna wheel it hard without the dorrs then def put the cage at the top of the list. when those things roll, they depend on the door for support. plus, i vote making some half doors or tube doors. i was wheelin without my doors and almost flopped and my leg flung out. scared the mess out of me. tube doors are def on the list of to-dos. i want to keep all body parts inside the cab

you are correct i pretty much keep the doors off daisy but i normally know when and where my truck will flip ive been nearly killed in too many muddin accidents to flip my truck. about a year ago i was in 3 flippin accident on the same hill everyone wanted to test there luck. i went to the hospital 2 times after them but ya i thought about tube doors and im planning on a full roll cage front and back just in case. i already have o sh*t handles in the floor board and plexi glass windows haha

If you are doing an SAS you will not need the rough country lift kit (does rough country even make a lift for SLA rangers?) and since you are 2wd now it appears, you will need a different trans and tcase.

your list for the SAS will be a mile longer than you think...look at Zabeard, 034X4, HighrollerII and the other SAS threads around to learn stuff

What Toreador4x4 means is you will have no need for a Rough Country lift kit if you plan on doing a straight axle conversion.

If you buy a lift kit for the SLA style suspension you have now, you will end up throwing the lift for the front end in the garbage, as you will be removing all of the OEM front suspension

i'm not going to sit on here and argue with both of you guys i know you are right, but when i want something i have to have it regardless of it being unnessasary or not. your right i dont need it but i would like to have it and i get suspension for like 200 bucks if i dont make it myself so its not too bad of an investment.

You will have no purpose for an after market lift for your truck. You will not be able to use any of the parts. When you SAS a truck it is 100% custom install. If this is what you want I would go through all the SAS project logs.

they are trying to save you the time, money, and trouble of buying something then not being able to use it.... whether you take their advice is your loss

Thats stupid though, why would you buy something you can't use? The Rough Country kit is made to work with the suspension you have now, to put a solid axle underneath you'll have to remove all of that so the lift will not work.
