Fender flair - or bust

I was thinking about putting some fender flairs on my '03 fx4 stepside to reduce the damage created by my mudd tires, I was thinking about the ones that look like their bolted on, need help I really don't know that it will look right but I need something to stop all the gravel, tar, asphalt etc from ruining the paint and body, thanks! kinda like these

I liked the look of the bushwackers and thought they looked pretty beefy and was considering a set for mine. But when I picked one up at the parts store one day I was really not impressed with them at all. They are sooo thin and did not feel or look very durable at all.

ok heres a link to one of his pic threads. it dont think it looks bad, but they just dont really seem to flow with the truck, if you know what i mean.

That actually looks better than I imagined it, but I think they would look better body color instead of textured.
