probly is a way but i wouldnt mess with it. you can get horrible mileage, you could do long term damage and possible for the engine to grenade

I am interested in how to get this newer MAF sensor into an aftermarket intake pipe, as I have an 08 and still cannot figure out how to do it, since it is built into the air box and not a separate part

the new style has 2 torx style screws holding it into the air tube. Your new aftermarket tube should have a place for the maf to slide in and reattach using the torx screws.
