That is not true. There's always someone giving me a hard time about offroading my 4x2.

I say lift it. I think you're going to have problems lowering a 4x4 somewhat like the problems with lifting an IFS -- like CV joints and the like.

a guy in my car club has a 4x4 chevy blazer with torsion bars, he did the same thing to lower it, and his is operating fine...it can be done...basically i wont be able to get as low as a 2wd could, but i'd be a lot lower thn i am now...

You probably cant rock the 31's if you lower it. My 28" tall stock tire came close to rubbing, so a 31 would be much worse.

It's so horribly unfair: I have 4x2 but want a 4x4, and you have a 4x4 but don't care! AHHHHHRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

Heh all of us 4x4 guys are 2 wheel wonders, all you 2wd guys are 1 wheel wonders. Get a locker in the back and in a sense you'll be even :) Anyways, when offroading I rarely go into 4WD. Its when I get stuck that i pop that sucker in and just drive out. Then I tow you out, and we're all happy!
(Owns a 4Wd and took two pills! one for each axle)
