getting duff bars and getting different springs for flex seems like a wash to me... makes no sense.

if you have axle hop/wrap figure out why it happens and fix it. mine doesnt have axle hop issues at all...

he got another piece of tube, threaded the inside of each tube and added 5-6 inches on to the original JD bar by using threaded rod, then it was welded if i remember correctly

When I get to that point, I'll have the pack made and see if losing the blocks does away with the axle wrap.

Front locker.

If you put your old bumper back on, you be interested in selling the one on your truck right now?

I think I'm gonna put it on this weekend and see how I like it on this truck. If it grows on me, I'll have it sandblasted, heated and bent back into shape, and repainted. Then I'd sell it =]

Wouldn't I need a 4wd pack or even a lift pack(like you have)?

nope. the 2wd chevy pack is enough to eliminate the stock ranger blocks.
after that you would hafta decide how tall you want the back end to be. if you want it the same as now, keep the AAL and shackle. if not adjust to suit. or you can get a lifted pack to eliminate the other parts as well.

put that bumper on, i want pics!

Yeah, I was wondering about the AAL and shackles. I didn't know if they'd work with the chebby leaves.

my 89 actually broke a leaf spring eye before it broke the JD bars, but the threaded parts was definatley tweaked when i finially removed them permenatly. i jus attributed it to my "enthusiastic" driving style
i didnt know others were breakin them too.

Put the old bumper(prerunner) back on and change the tips, get something a little smaller(in length),don't dump them!
