make your electronic transfer-case a manual transfer-case

Easily Convert Your Electric BorgWarner Transfer Case to Manual Operation! | The Shiftster
I came across this thing messing around on the internet, i thought it was kind of neat (even better if i had a 4x4 to put one on) It would be something good to have around if your electronics ever quit for the 4wd, especially if you were out wheeling and the 4wd stopped working because it only takes a few minutes to install.

lame. how can you foresee needing to switch from 4hi to 4lo? its also not very safe. last i checked 4wheeling wasn't flat and level. your truck could roll at any point or time. if your under it you could be killed.

i'll stick to my dash **** and keep myself alive and clean. if the motor fails, i'll buy a new one or find a manual shifter.

Yeah that's retarded. For a few bucks more, you can go get a new shift motor.... Or for not much more than a motor, swap it out for a TRUE manual case.
