I have my old american racing bigpipe muffler laying around. it used to be on my 1st car, a 95 escort lx. it sounded awesome. Loudest thing iv'e ever heard in my life, and mean sounding. I had it professionally installed and had the resonator and baffle removed on the car.

Is it at all possible to put this muffler on my truck? and would it be legal?

I guess the truck muffler would have to be cut off and the car muffler would have to be routed off to the side like in front of the right rear tire. I think it would be cool, maybe???? I dunno, just an idea. what are your thoughts? thanks

 

its possible. you would be able to tell it came off a car, just by looking at it. how big of a tip is on it? if its huge i think itd look stupid IMO. get a floor jack to hold up the muffler under the bumper and see what you think. get a pic too. it should be legal but not sure. the only consern is that it may be 2 loud and get a ticket for the loudness.

 

i saw a truck tht had a muffler like tht and the way they had it done it looked ghey... but if you did it like a diesel, or like the ford lightning it might be alright....

My side exit exhaust is very loud and annoying. There's a point where it's just....lame.

 

i HATE fart cans!!! i keep seeing 2 idiots driving around with them on their dodge intrepids!!! ones completely stock, and other is actually kinda cool, its a dual tip kinda one, red with silver stripes, lowered front bumper, side skirts, KINDA cool. just becuase my first car was an intrepid. if it wasn't i'd prolly laugh at it haha.

I remember in high school I was making fun of this truck I saw with 2 rice mufflers on it the person I was making fun of it to was the owner he didnt say anything but I saw him driving it later! lol

 

i used to call a buddy of mine folgers bc he had dual coffee can exhaust on his 4 door sunfire. it was funny hed shift thru 1 and 2nd gears on his automatic. o ya it was straight piped with 3 inch pipe all the way thru. it sounded horrible.

 

at first i couldnt picture exactly what we were talking about. but if were talking about the long barrel type muffler we see on a civic, and not the box(Like) ones on every truck. dont do it. its a crime against trucks. might as well put pink dice in the mirror and flower vinals on it after your done dropping it to the ground so low you take out road dots.

 

lol...It's not going to give you a good sound. It'll give us some good laughs, but that's about it. I'm sure the neighbors would really appreciate something that loud rolling by. Having it a bit louder isn't bad, but there's always a point to where a loud car just gets annoying, maybe even to the driver.

 

Yuppers. But not i. to me? a Loud *** car with STRAIGHT PIPES makes me smile.
