New emblem idea

Take your stock emblem new or old. And paint it with this

http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...i_sku=99985032

I have an extra set of emblems and I thought it would look sweet

The chrome would still show through but it would be tinted.

What do you guys think?

I had some in my hand when I was in Michigan last month planning on doing the same thing to my emblems, but for some reason I didn't end up buying it.... not sure why!

Are you done yet...I wanna see...I'm thinking the Alcoa's would look good...and if it turned out the bumpers and headlights could match.

I want to see this too, I've wanted to do something similar but can't find any examples of it.

Yea. My only concern. I don't want to do it and then have it start to chip and peel away.
And worse case, mess up the chrome too so I couldn't just remove it all :/

Bought the paint today

The kit comes with clear coat, so if you let it cure long enough in the correct conditions, you shouldn't have to worry about cracking and peeling

Ahhh. I could see that as working. I'll have to see how well your emblems turn out

Well, the process is a bit difficult.

I think this will work much better on 06+ emblems.

After it dries I'll give you guys the verdict

UPDATE w/ pics: So I think round 2 was a success. The pics don't do it justice, but you get the idea.
