New old emblems...

So i went to the junk yard today. Got myself a set of "FORD" letters off the hood of an 80 something truck. Thinking about putting them on my hood..on the front lip. Also picked up a set if Blue "XLT" emblems off an 85 P/U...going to add them in the same place that they were on the other truck, behind and at the bottom of the extended window. Question is...the all came with the little thingy's sticking out..where they go into the body, but I don't want to drill any holes. I sanded them smooth, but not sure what to use to attach them. Glue? What kind?
