rear view mirror mod idea and question

rear view mirror mod idea and question

my rear view mirrors are cracked and im geting new ones soon so i was thinking of useing the old ones to mock up led light pods in the mirriors. ill only use them when hunting and muding at night, but do you guys think its a good idea or if it will even fit?

Depends. Are your mirrors power or manual? Will the guts of the light be inside or the outside of the mirror? How heavy are these lights?

These are things you will need to consider.

There Manual mirrors and I don't think the weight will be an issue. My friend hung his on his ranger mirror and forgot about it untill he was on I-85 going 70mph and it was fine. I would like to have the face of the pod light flush (or as flush as you can make a square to an oval) to the front of the mirror. But can I even get a pod light thin enough to fit. Remember it's just an idea and may never happen but who knows maybe in a few months I'll have some extra money and put this idea to work.

They don't make pods that thin for a reason, heat displacement, you could get one and cut half the back off, just don't leave it on all the time or you'll have an issue
