shaker hood???
Ive never seen anyone do this; however, i think it would look sweet if some one could mod the stock edge hood into a false shaker hood. Take a GT hood scoop and fab up a mount to the motor, then cut a whole in the stock hood for the scoop to sit through. Finish off the rough edges and color match the scoop. Then when you rev the engine you can watch the scoop tilt and shake with the engine!! 8)
My only concern is if the hood would be structurally sound after cutting a hole for the shaker scoop to go through.

shaker hood???
I think Cervini makes a shaker hood for the Explorer/sport trac; I bet with enough ingenuity you could get an XLT (flat) hood and fab something up. I think its only for the 4.0L engine, though.
I beleive there was something where D was trying to put an XLT hood (non 4x4) on an edge but the engine actually site up higher so it wouldn't close at all it kept hitting the intake manifold.
Prolly get an extra edge hood and use some fusion (kinda like bondo) or fiberglass to take away the center part or close it in enough for the shaker.I might look into that on my 92 Ranger, anyone know where I Can find a fiberglass hood for that?

I was looking for the same thing for my 2004 FX4 Level II. I also found the kit for the Sport Trac. I badly want this hood on my truck but have failed to find a kit for it. If you happen across something let me know.
