Show me your engine!
Not a new idea at all, but new for me.
Im going to start painting stuff under the hood and want to see what you guys have done for some ideas. Going to the junkyard tomorrow to get a throttle body cover, timing cover to start painting. Already got the battery box in primer today. Im thinking of getting wire loom and a set of Taylor or Live wire spark plug wires.
Let me see what you got.

The only form of paint I have under my hood comes from when my radiator busted and dirty antifreeze sprayed all over the engine. Now I have a **** brown engine, lol
On a more serious level, I dont know of anyone that has taken paint to the engine bay. These truck arent really "show" trucks if ya know what I mean...

I know. I just like the feeling of driving it when its really clean (Just spent most of today cleaning and painting the under carrige). And I look at it this way I got custom stuff on the exterior, interior, suspension, so why not the engine?
When I get it painted everything is gonna be looking good, and I dont wanna pop the hood to a dirty, greasey engine bay.

You gonna paint the engine itself or just some pieces here and there?
I was looking at Duplicolors METALCAST stuff, its a 3 step paint, supposed to make whatever you paint look anodized. Im going to do that on some of the plastic panels that are in there. Im going to have the intake powder coated with a silver or aluminum. Then just spray whatever else needs it, just to clean it up really nice. Probally gonna hit as much of the motor as I can with a flat black ceramic, same with the transmission.

The Metalcast ground coat itself is a really nice grey colour.

Ricers also have every add on from Autozone on their cars.

Speaking of Autozone, I'm gonna get one of those cool light up exhaust tips and boat prop hitch cover. Then maybe I'll get some Neon tubes and place them throughout my interior and replace all my exterior lighting with illegal blue bulbs and tint my windows myself.

This was my Contour. The intake manifold was painted in a green/purple chameleon paint, the plastic spark plug cover was painted silver, blue Ford Racing wires, blue cone filter, and the MAF and battery tie down were painted silver.
Intake was just repainted black in this pic, before I did the chameleon paint, but I just always liked this pic lol
