Scanguage mounting location

I figured this is the best place to post this since I haven't seen anyone else do this with the scanguage.

Sorry about the blurry shots =(

That's actually pretty sweet. I've always wanted to mount something where the cubby is under my head unit.

Looks good there, but you're not the first to put it there. SouthernMudslinger put his there. Don't expect you to know who he is, he hasn't been on in forever.

I guess it was too much too hope that I actually came up with an original idea, but you're right I never heard of the other guy.

I loved mine, being able to watch tranny temp and have something that displayed the correct speed was great. Being able to read and clear trouble codes while on the road was nice too, saved me multiple trips to autozone.

its very useful to me in my 06, i am able to monitor my water temp, voltage, MPG's, RPM's, MPH's, HPR, cost per mile

anybody that has a 2004-up knows there is only 4 gauges in the cluster instead of the 6 from the previous clusters

Thats about what I use mine for. Except the tranny temp. I have the wt up there so I know when to turn the heat on in the winter so I don't have to sit in an air conditioned truck for 5 mins every time I start it up.

On the mounting location, yea thats a neat spot but don't you have to take your eyes off the road to look at it...

How'd you get the tranny temp? I would love to have that on mine.

You have to add it from the x-gauges, you can find the codes on the Scangauge website.

It looks pretty good there. I have mine mounted on a bracket I made in the upper left corner of the windshield.
