After the winter i plan on painting my ranger. It has the step side box and i was thinking of doing the tail light filler mod. For tail lights i was thinking of just using one of the 49" light strips with signals and reverse lights. Anyone think this might be slightly illegal? If so i may put a roll pan on and mold in some tail lights there

 

someday I'll add them to my s-10. The truck will never be street legal because of "other things done". lol. I didn't fil the area between the tailgate and roll pan for this purpose:

 

i know people have done this but after following my fathers f-150 in the day light he has one. i wouldnt ever recommend it.. personally in BRIGHT sunlight i find it hard to see that light bar... it works better in cloudy or dusk or night...

 

thanks stone. thats kind of what i was worried about...that and if i have the tailgate down..because i do actually use the box of the truck to haul stuff in like my snowmobile and atv...i dont think you would be able to see it. definitely going to need to put tail lights in elsewhere..thanks

 

idk call me odd i dont like removing or changing stock lighting as in putting in like caddy tail lights.. idk just like i hate shaved door handles... i am an odd ball

 

just look at the forums for the tail light filler mod on rps.com it looks pretty sweet if you put a roll pan on..which i would do if i was to do the tail light filler mod...but i think whether i do it or not i'm going to put a tail light strip on anyways...i just like the look of them lol

 

i hear ya i like mine dont get me wrong but i wouldnt trust it as the only tail light....

also i hate roll pans... see i am odd lol
