does anyone know where I can get the tail light bars that go under the tailgate for cheap and where there might be a good how-to form to show me how to install it?

You can get them on ebay. They are very easy to install. just stick it under your tailgate and plug the 4 pin connector into you factory tow harness. if you don't have one then your sos and need to wire one up.

I bought mine at Advance Auto Parts or maybe even Autozone. DO NOT get the BULLY brand one, it sucks and only lasts until it rains. I got a Streetglow one and had no problems with it.

i have the recon white lightning, got it for $50 plus shipping.

If you want to see a how to you can here, like mentioned though it is very easy. I had some difficulties installing over line-x but its really not hard to figure out. mine is attached by drill screws rather than just the adhesive.

a question someone asked before was if it covers the hole for the spare tire lowering mechanism, and yes it does, but it's also attached by 4 screws, so just take a phillips screwdriver and you can get it off and get to it. I actually recently dremeled it out so I don't even have to remove it.

Before it ever got wet, the LEDs started failing. Then both ends filled up with water and it was dunzo. The streetglow one was only $35 from Advance when I bought it, but when I recently looked for one for my 150, they say they don't sell them anymore.

My advice is dont buy a cheap one. You get what you pay for. You buy a cheap one it will only last a little while. Spend some money and get one that will last!
