There really isn't any kind of on-board Diagnostic tool.
My fancy scanner barely even gives me any On Board things. I can read codes and various voltages but thats about it.

I honestly forgot what scanner my friend had, but we hooked it up to my 92 2.3L and it had more options than I thought it would. We were able to perform several tests including all sensors, fuel system check, timing check, and there was one test called "wiggle test," not exactly sure what it is so we didn't try it.

The "wiggle test" is something you give to your girl friend.
