Under the rail bed lights

well i have learned that a tonnaeu cover creates a nice cozy pitch black cave at night.... so i was thinkin of adding a couple of lights under the rail and put them on a switch in the bed so i can turn them on when i need to see.... any ideas or suggestions on this?

I got 2 cheapo "license plate" lights at Discount and just wired them into my taillights, so if I need light I just turn the parking lights on, that way I'd have to be a real moron to leave them on and walk away from the truck.
