2WD or 4WD, that is the main deciding factor.

my truck is a 2wd ranger. How much better is a suspension lift than a body lift, or what is the big difference?

get 3.5" procomp lift spindles and AAL's and shackels for the rear, should cost you about $700. you will be able to fit 33x12.5's

If you are 2wd, then do a spindle lift up front and add a leaf/shackle setup in the rear. That will alow to run 33x12.5.

This has been discussed numerous times Sean, hit the search up top and read all day.

Get a 3" spindle for the front and some AALs for the rear. DO NOT body lift a freaking 2wd. With that you can run 33s. This is all assuming you have a Edge.. with an xlt it is going to be different

welcome to RF btw

Also it depends on if your truck is pre-98 or post 97. If pre 98 there's some good lifting options. If post 97 then the options are less.

I have an 03. and i am looking at either a pro comp 3" lift or a fabtech 3" spindle and i am not sure which would be better and if i could be about to install it my self. i am not the most technical person when it comes to doing things but i can learn to do things quickly if i get good instructions.

if you have an xlt w/ a 3 inch lift you would be safe going with a 31x10.5, you'd probably ride higher than an edge with that setup so even a 32x11.5

I would like to thank all of you for ur help. Hopefully i will have pics of my new truck soon. I was also wondering if i were to get a 3" spindle lift if i would be able to run stock rims and oversized(31",32") tires until i have the money for new rims??

hey dude, see how many questions and assumptions were made about your truck, if you make a signature listing your specs this process would go alot faster and clearer, and not just for lifting for every aspect of modding your truck out

Lift it as high as you can go man, lol. I love seeing lifted trucks but honestly, Im not hot on body lifts at all. Saw a pre-runner the other day with a body lift and it was Wheels and Suspension, FAT GAP GOES HERE, than it was the ugly frame, than, FAT GAP GOES HERE, than it was the body. Wasn't very appealing.

This is Jabob's truck. Its a 02 XLT with a 3" Spindle, 2" blocks(rear), and 31x10.5 Bridgestone Dueler Revos. Next to my stock 03 Edge with 32" BFG A/Ts and a t-bar crank

I thought so, I go there to and I'm pretty sure I see that truck everyday in parking lot J. Does he have the www.Ranger-Forums.com web site on the top of this sliding window? On the actual plastic part above it? If so than yeah, heh :P And its not the fake cal poly!!! I go there!! ha
