X-Tended gap guard mod...Offroaders check it out.

So I got suck of cleaning mud off the filler neck and everything else on the underbody everytime i go offroad..so i made a guard to block it. I wanted to git this done before i went to the sand dunes because of how much of a mess sand makes... Its stupid that ford didnt do this from the factory but o well.
Well here is what I did.

To everyone else they are made of the same stuff he used for the gap guards, just off of the big roll instead of precut. The stair liners if no one remembers.

I think I'm gonna get a welder friend and have him make me some aluminum ones and then get the whole thing Line-X'ed that would be really awesome.

Nice job BTW. Did you use the stock hole where the bolt is? I don't remember if there is a hole there.

^^ ya ther are 3 holes up there. Looks like ford was thinking of putting them in but never did.
And by the fender flair, i just mad a small hole and pushed it through the push pin the holdes the fender flairs on

and for what i used, it was at aco hardware store.
Its considered stair covers. Looks like this on the reverse side

I am almost positive that they do as I have bought it there before for another project of mine.

I have looked for at Lowes, where I work, several times, but I haven't asked any of the specialists about it, yet... I'm sure they'd know exactly where it is.

ya, its was easy to do once you make the 1st one cause you can just reverse it and trace it for the other side.
