Rear COBRA disc brake kit for your RANGER!--OR

HI!...Up for sale is a nearly complete disc brake conversion kit you can use on your RANGER. What is left is pads of your choice and soft brake lines. I can get actual pictures but it is pretty much the same as in my how to:
https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ion-stock.html

The calipers are stock GT, so they aren't painted or anything special.
Just modify the brackets, get pads and lines and you're good to go with disc brakes in under 2hours on your stock RANGER rear end.

$250+shipping.

Unopened box of rear rotors from FRPP:

Everything is new but the calipers....they are crazy expensive new, so slightly used it is:

I'll get pics later tonight.

Yes, stock Ranger rear end...the 28spliner.

Oh, so i guess it won't work with the FX4 LII whom have the 31spline rear end.

Nothing to worry about brake pressure, your 4wheel ABS takes care of it all. I've had the setup on my 01 since the beginning of September and havent had any problems with anything...i know guys who've had it longer. You're okay.

So what all does it come with? Could you give me a breakdown of the parts? How much you estimate shipping to cost? I'm thinking I'll take it.

Sure:
  • Left and Right Rear calipers
  • Left and Right rear caliper brackets (the ones you need to modify)
  • Left and Right anti-moan Brackets
  • Two rear rotors
  • Left and Right dust shields
  • Miscellaneous Hardware

So all you need is to modify the brackets and get pads and soft lines (soft lines from Mustangs work here).

I think shipping is going to be $30 or so. It is all a pretty heavy item.

Awesome. We are checking it out today. Got a few 15inch rims i'm going to test so we can see what fits and what doesn't. It might be close, and you can grind away the top of the caliper too. then paint it!

dang that sucks, the broke part I mean. The L/S should still work for like another 60-100 kmiles, depending on how you drive, lol.

I figured they would fit. My front brakes are 12 in rotors but i was worried about the difference in size of the cobra and ranger calipers more. If you still have them available by sunday i might pick these up from you :)

So its Sunday. And the parts are still in a box in the shop. You gonna buy!!! lol. Let me mang. I think it would make your truck super sexy, and extra safe with the added braking advantage.

Are these still on the table? If so, I need the shipping cost to Evansville, IN. Let me know asap and if it's around 30 bucks you can consider these sold.

I can paypal you tonight after I get off work.

these can also work for other applications!!! i bought a kit from grant and am putting them on my 9 inch rear axle.. with modification you can probably make them fit a ton more axles than just the 28 spline RANGER rear. so someone should just buy em and slap em on!! they are 10 times better than drums!

they may fit other rear ends but the mounting points for the caliper brackets are different between the 28 and 31 splines.. although there is an adapter to install mustang brakes on the 31 spline if you want to go that route.
